Hair Loss Treatments We Offer

We offer a range of cutting-edge treatments and services to address hair loss effectively. Some of our most popular treatments for hair loss issue include:

  1. Hair Transplants Our hair transplant services are the most advanced in the industry. With both FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) and FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) options, we offer personalized procedures that involve transplanting healthy hair follicles from one part of your scalp to areas with thinning or no hair. These methods ensure natural-looking results and permanent hair restoration.
  2. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Therapy PRP therapy is a non-surgical, minimally invasive treatment that uses your own blood to stimulate hair growth. PRP is rich in growth factors that can promote healing and stimulate the hair follicles, encouraging natural hair regrowth. It’s a great option for both men and women experiencing early-stage hair loss.
  3. Laser Hair Therapy Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses laser light to stimulate hair follicles and improve hair growth. It enhances blood circulation to the scalp, which can promote the health of hair follicles and support natural hair regrowth.
  4. Medications and Topical Treatments We also offer FDA-approved medications like Minoxidil and Finasteride to treat hair loss. These treatments can be used alone or in combination with other therapies to slow hair loss and promote regrowth. Our experts will assess which options are best for your condition.
  5. Hair Growth Supplements In some cases, nutritional deficiencies can contribute to hair loss. We offer targeted hair growth supplements that can help replenish essential nutrients like biotin, zinc, and vitamins that support healthy hair growth from within.
  6. Scalp Micropigmentation For those who want to achieve a fuller, thicker appearance without undergoing surgery, scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-invasive solution. This treatment involves applying tiny pigment deposits to the scalp to mimic the appearance of hair follicles, creating the illusion of a fuller head of hair.

Female Pattern Hair Loss

Hair loss treatment clinic

Female pattern hair loss can be a challenging and frustrating condition, but with the right treatments and support, it is possible to slow or even reverse its effects. Whether you opt for non-invasive treatments like PRP therapy or consider more advanced solutions like hair transplants, there are plenty of options available to help you restore your lost hair, and regain your confidence.

Causes of Female Pattern Hair Loss

Female pattern hair loss is primarily influenced by genetics and hormonal changes. Some of the main causes of female hair loss include:

  1. Genetics: Like male pattern baldness, FPHL is often hereditary. If your mother or grandmother experienced hair thinning, you may be more likely to develop it as well. This condition is typically linked to the presence of certain genes and is not always preventable.
  2. Hormonal Imbalances: Hormonal fluctuations play a key role in FPHL. Women may experience hair thinning due to hormonal changes related to:
    • Pregnancy: Hormones fluctuate significantly during pregnancy, and after childbirth, many women experience a shedding phase known as postpartum hair loss.
    • Menopause: As estrogen levels decrease during menopause, many women begin to notice thinning hair, especially around the crown.
    • Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS): This condition often leads to imbalances in hormones such as androgens, which can cause hair thinning or male-pattern hair loss in women.
  3. Age: As women age, hair growth naturally slows, and hair follicles shrink, resulting in finer and thinner hair. This can lead to more noticeable thinning in certain areas of the scalp.
  4. Stress and Medical Conditions: Chronic stress, thyroid disorders, anemia, and other medical conditions can contribute to hair loss. If the underlying condition is treated, hair regrowth may occur.
  5. Medications: Certain medications, including those used for high blood pressure, depression, and birth control, can lead to hair thinning as a side effect.

Symptoms of Female Pattern Hair Loss

The symptoms of FPHL typically include:

  • Gradual thinning: Hair thinning usually starts at the crown or top of the head and gradually spreads. It may not be immediately noticeable, but over time, it becomes more apparent.
  • Widening part: One of the first signs of FPHL is a widening of the hair part. This occurs as the hair follicles shrink and become less dense.
  • Diffuse shedding: Unlike male pattern baldness, FPHL causes hair thinning all over the scalp, rather than the formation of bald patches or receding hairlines.

Treatment Options for Female Pattern Hair Loss

Fortunately, there are several treatments available that can help manage female pattern hair loss and promote hair regrowth. The right solution depends on the severity of your condition and its underlying causes.

  1. Minoxidil (Rogaine) Minoxidil is the only FDA-approved topical treatment for female pattern hair loss. Available in liquid or foam form, it works by stimulating hair follicles and promoting hair regrowth. It may take several months to see noticeable results, and continued use is necessary to maintain them.
  2. Finasteride Finasteride (Propecia) is an oral medication that can block the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone linked to hair thinning in both men and women. While finasteride is commonly used for male pattern baldness, it can be effective for women as well, though it’s generally prescribed in lower doses. It’s not suitable for pregnant women, as it may cause birth defects.
  3. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy PRP therapy involves drawing a small amount of your blood, processing it to concentrate the platelets, and then injecting the PRP into your scalp. The growth factors in PRP can stimulate hair follicles and encourage regrowth. This non-invasive treatment has shown promising results in both men and women with hair loss.
  4. Hair Transplant Surgery For women with advanced hair loss, hair transplant surgery may be an option. The procedure involves harvesting healthy hair follicles from areas with thicker hair (often the back or sides of the scalp) and transplanting them into thinning or balding areas. While hair transplants are more commonly associated with male pattern baldness, women can also benefit from this procedure.
  5. Laser Therapy Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses red light to stimulate hair follicles and increase circulation in the scalp. It has been shown to help promote hair regrowth and improve hair density in both men and women with thinning hair.
  6. Nutritional Supplements Nutritional deficiencies can sometimes exacerbate hair loss. Supplements containing biotin, zinc, iron, and vitamins A and D may support hair health and help slow the progression of hair thinning. Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting any supplements.
  7. Hormonal Treatments For women whose hair loss is linked to hormonal imbalances, treatments such as birth control pills or anti-androgens (like spironolactone) may help restore hormonal balance and slow hair thinning.
  8. Scalp Micropigmentation Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a non-surgical treatment that involves applying tiny dots of pigment to the scalp, giving the illusion of thicker, fuller hair. This can be a great option for women looking to improve the appearance of their hair without undergoing surgery or taking medications.

Male Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness is a common condition that affects many men as they age, but there are several effective treatments available to slow the progression or restore hair growth. Whether you opt for non-invasive treatments like minoxidil or advanced options like hair transplants, there are solutions to help you regain a fuller head of hair. Early intervention and personalized care can make a significant difference in the outcome, so it’s important to explore your options and seek professional guidance.

Symptoms of Male Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness progresses through the body in several stages, and the symptoms become more apparent over time. The primary signs include:

  1. Receding Hairline: One of the first visible signs of male pattern baldness is a receding hairline, often starting at the temples. This typically results in an “M” shape as the hairline moves back.
  2. Thinning on the Crown: Another common symptom is thinning hair at the crown of the head. Over time, this thinning progresses and may result in a bald patch at the top of the head.
  3. Diffuse Thinning: In some cases, men experience overall thinning across the scalp, which can lead to a wider part or noticeable sparse areas.
  4. Complete Baldness: In advanced stages of male pattern baldness, the hair loss may cover much of the scalp, leaving only a ring of hair around the sides and back of the head. This is commonly referred to as a “horseshoe pattern” of baldness.

FAQs

1. What causes hair loss, and who is at risk?

Hair loss can be caused by a variety of factors, including genetics (androgenetic alopecia), hormonal changes, stress, poor nutrition, medical conditions (such as thyroid disorders or autoimmune diseases), and certain medications. Both men and women can experience hair loss, though it is more common in men. Age, family history, and lifestyle choices can also increase the risk of alopecia.

3. Are hair loss treatments safe?

Yes, all the treatments offered at our clinic are safe and FDA-approved (where applicable). Non-invasive treatments like PRP therapy and laser therapy are particularly gentle, while hair transplant procedures are minimally invasive but highly effective.

4. How long will it take to see results?

The timeline for seeing results depends on the treatment and the severity of your hair loss. For example, with PRP therapy, it may take 3-6 months to see noticeable improvements new hair growth. Hair transplant results typically start to show within 3-6 months after the procedure, with full results visible after 12-18 months. Laser therapy and topical treatments can take a few months to show progress, depending on individual responses.

5. Is the treatment permanent?

Many of our treatments, especially hair transplants, offer permanent results. However, hair loss can continue to progress over time, especially in cases of genetic hair loss. Hair Transplant Surgery Techniques:

The current standard technique for hair transplants is called: Follicular Unit Extraction.
FUE is an advanced surgical hair restoration technique. It is much less invasive than the older style, traditional FUT hair transplants.

This surgical technique involves removing individual follicle units, known as grafts, and does not leave a linear scar, or require any stitches. Hair follicles are extracted from the donor area, at the back of the scalp. Incisions are then made into the frontal, mid scalp or crown area, and the grafts are placed into the incisions where they will imbed and heal, allowing new hairs to regrow from a previously inactive or balding area.

Sapphire Blade FUE

Sapphire FUE utilizes sapphire blades, which are incredibly precise and gentle, to create tiny incisions for implanting hair follicles. This approach offers numerous benefits, including minimal scarring, faster healing, and a closer, natural hairline. The use of sapphire blades allows for greater control over angle and direction, resulting in a more authentic and seamless appearance.

DHI via CHOI pen

During hair transplant surgery with DHI, individual hair follicles are extracted from the donor area, they are then placed into the Direct Hair Implantation tool.

The DHI tool can then be used to make incisions and directly implant the follicle into the new incision in one motion. This technique is most commonly used for ‘non-shave’ surgeries that are typically under 3000 grafts.
